Thrive Financial Services’ “Thrive in Retirement” reaches as high as #52 in Apple Podcasts’ U.S. Investing category shortly after its launch
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — September 2026 — A Philadelphia-area financial firm is making its mark in the podcast world.
Thrive Financial Services, headquartered in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, announced that its new podcast, Thrive in Retirement, has broken into the Top 100 of Apple Podcasts’ U.S. Investing category, reaching as high as #52*.
Hosted by David Bezar, Senior Managing Partner of Thrive Financial Services, Thrive in Retirement launched as a new way for the firm to continue a financial education effort that began years ago on Philadelphia radio.
For years, Bezar hosted a weekly Philadelphia radio show focused on retirement and financial planning. As Thrive grew — and the way people consumed financial information changed — the firm decided it was time to bring those conversations into a more accessible, on-demand format.
The result was Thrive in Retirement.
“To see the podcast reach the Top 100 — and climb as high as #52 — so early is incredibly exciting,” said Bezar. “But what I’m most proud of is what that tells us: people want these conversations. Retirement can feel complicated, and our goal is to make these topics easier to understand and help people know what questions they should be asking.”

More Than an Investing Podcast
Despite appearing on Apple’s Investing chart, Thrive in Retirement intentionally looks beyond investments alone.
The show explores the interconnected decisions people face before and during retirement, including investment risk, retirement income, Social Security, taxes, Medicare and healthcare, and estate planning.’
Those topics align with Thrive’s proprietary ROUTE framework, which focuses on five critical areas of retirement planning:
Risk Management. Optimize Income. Unplanned Healthcare. Taxes. Estate Planning.
“The investment portfolio is one piece of retirement, but it isn’t the entire puzzle,” Bezar said. “A tax decision can affect your income. Your income can affect Medicare costs. Your Social Security strategy can affect taxes. Estate planning brings another set of considerations. We want to have conversations about how those pieces interact rather than treating each one as if it exists on its own.”
Episodes feature members of Thrive’s financial planning team as well as outside professionals who bring specialized perspectives to issues retirees commonly encounter.
Early episodes have tackled questions surrounding Social Security claiming strategies, creating retirement income, understanding how retirement income is taxed, Roth conversions, Medicare decisions and what individuals can expect when they begin the retirement planning process.
From Local Radio to a Growing Podcast Audience
For Thrive, the podcast also represents an evolution of a long-running commitment to financial education in the Philadelphia region.
What once required listeners to tune into a radio program at a particular time can now be watched or heard on demand through Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.
The early response has helped push Thrive in Retirement onto Apple Podcasts’ U.S. Investing chart, where the show has reached as high as #52.
“We’ve come a long way from sitting behind a microphone every week on local radio,” Bezar said. “The platform has changed, but the reason we do it hasn’t. We want to give people useful information that helps them have better conversations and make more informed decisions about retirement.”
Bezar credits the show’s listeners, Thrive clients, team members and the broader Philadelphia community for helping the podcast gain momentum.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support,” Bezar said. “People have listened, followed the show, shared episodes with friends and family, and left reviews. We’re grateful for every person who has helped us get here — and we’re just getting started.”
Thrive in Retirement is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube, with new episodes covering the financial decisions individuals and families may encounter before and throughout retirement.
