One of the best feelings in the world is giving. That kind of positive energy is contagious. With just one act of kindness, you can inspire others to go out and plant seeds of hope through giving, too.

Even Warren Buffett, known for being one of the most successful investors of all time, calls his philanthropy “the easiest deed in the world.” Buffett noted back in June of this year that he had achieved a personal milestone by giving some $41 billion to the Gates Foundation and four other foundations run by Buffett family members.

Following that same philosophy for a number of years, Thrive Financial Services has had a steadfast commitment to the communities in which we live. Thrive believes that giving back not only involves donating personal finances or proceeds, but helps bring people together to work toward a single cause.

With the holidays approaching, we can\’t help but think of those in need, now more than ever. While many have prospered during this world-wide pandemic, others are barely holding on. Our area was also hit hard by a record number of storms and tornadoes, devastating parts of Fort Washington, Upper Dublin, Bensalem, Trevose and more. This is a time to truly think about how we can help others around us and how we can call others to join us in this time of giving.

One of our worthy charities is the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard. With two locations, this 501 C (3) non-profit food pantry located in Montgomery County offers food, clothing, employment assistance/job help/resume building, medical referrals, housing referrals and emergency financial assistance to approximately 400 active families in need.

Because they do not receive federal funding and raise all operating costs through the support of local fundraising efforts, Thrive will once again help the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard by collecting food starting November 1, 2021 at all of our office locations.

We ask you to please stop by one of our offices and help us fill the shelves of this non-profit food pantry. Please look at the lists on this page to see what is greatly needed.

Please give back!
